Slimbridge

In 2018 we were approached as part of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust’s “Slimbridge 2020” program. We were asked to undertake restoration work to their historic duck decoy. Two of the structures had been previously removed some time between 1879 and 1901, and and then later replaced using modern materials and techniques post WW2. The remaining two structures were in remarkable condition considering their age and environment, but had fallen into serious disrepair. The location of the decoys (being suspended over a pond) created several challenges in safely accessing them.
